Goggle-Eyed for Spring???...... One of the accessory trends we've spotted on the runways this season in Milan is the return of statement eyewear. It feels like years since the Olsens approved giant, goggle shade had its day, and if Prada, Jil Sander and Marni are anything to go by, that day is back. Oversize frames ruled the runways at Prada, especially in the color-heavy season, in vivid brights like orange and blue. So I hope you like it ???

Isabel Marant Fall 2010 Ready to Wear

So Isabel Marant fans may want to sit down before reading this: There wasn't studded cuffed suede ankle boots in sight on her Fall runway. Backstage Isabel Marant said she was ready for a change. For Fall she was thinking fifties. So my post today shows her pointy-toed pumps with the floppy bows on the sides. 

In one of my first post you can see the studded ankle boots.

Today's post shows again a close-up of the Prada fall RTW 2010 collection. The drawing shows a model with her hair done up in sixties beehives. And I think this sixties look is underlined stronger by wearing those glasses in a kind of butterfly frame. I really hope you like it?

Prada Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear.

The post today shows the Prada Fall RTW clothing. Miuccia Prada said backstage before her show: "The clothes are normal clothes. Classics. Revising the things I did in the nineties". 

The models showed their hair done up in sixties beehives. The clothing consisted of Prada knitwear, made into tweedy peacoated suits and chuncky belted sweaters, with pointy pumps and kooky tweedy socks. So Miuccia Prada is a fashion-industry influencer.

I'll think you all will agree.

Hello there. Last week, I spent some time at the beach. So I had plenty of time for a day dream. And what was I thinking ??? Off course still about fashion. What are the new looks? So may be it's the return of the minimalist chic that's been waiting for us for fall? That's a good start, don't you think?

So finally a new post. The drawings are a little bit different from what I am used to do. At sunset, at dawn, with friends, lovers, family or alone, the beach has a special hold over all of us. For me, the beach is the ultimate freedom. There's no better place to relax and recharge for all the challenges of life. It's a place where I can forget about fashion, design and clothes and drawings.....- and just pull on a pair of old shorts and a tank top. So let's celebrate the summer and pack our bags for the summer holidays.

A special day

Hello Hello. How did the weekend go for you? Well, the post today is a special one. I'll tell you why it's a special one. Today my sister is having her birthday and you know she is my twin sister. So dear lovely sister of mine, this drawing is for you.

One of my dearest friends is having her birthday today. Some time ago we had a cup of coffee and she told me she got an invitation for a dinner. It was a nice evening and the food was oke, but she also said that she was more happy when she had served a pair of shoes on her plate in stead of food... So I think you will understand why I made this drawing....

Hey hello there, sorry for the delay in posting.
This has been a beautiful week!!!! I think you know what I'm talking about. I've been many times with my beautiful little grandchild Chloé, so that's the reason there are no new drawings. Wow it's amazing how nice it's to be a grandmother. But hey here is a new drawing.......And I hope you like it???
The post today is a drawing of the Marc Jacobs Spring show 2010. After his show Marc Jacobs said he is tired of seeing young girls wearing black and studs. It's not such an individual expression. "This show was a trip to the theater, the ballet, the opera", he said. So the underlying message could have been: "Be an individual". So we saw topknots, Aladinn pants, and the girls carried big woven bags, on long straps, some with foot-long fringe.

Well the post today is a new drawing of the Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection from designer Alexander Wang. A few days before his show he said : "We want to create clothes that are timeless and classic. Our girls wants investments pieces". But Wang's take on "timeless" means a classic grey sweatshirt fused with a corset and also worn with short shorts. Ribbed athletic socks with sliced-out backs were tucked into rugged, zippered sandal boots. All in all,Wang's followers will be plenty pleased. Maybe it's an inspiration for you too. I hope you like it. And thank you so much for all the nice compliments on my drawings.

Maybe it was the long cold winter nights, or the fact that we were all having to toughen-up during the onslaught of an economic crisis, but last season brought about a huge trend for "girl likes boy" masculinity and all things androgynous. Spring is finally creeping up on us. And so too is a whole new way of dressing. 

Yes ladies, the big reveal is here! Ok, so you're not literally expected to walk aroud naked, but change is a-coming. Possibly one of the biggest trends to emerge from the collections this season is underwear as outerwear. And believe it or not, it's a surprisingly versatile and wearable trend. So here is a new drawing to show you this new look!

I'm so sorry for not posting new drawings last week. I wasn't able to draw! As you fashionlovers will understand, it takes time to draw the latest fashion trends and designer outfits. So maybe from now on I will be posting new drawings once a week. Please be patient, my dear readers, and I hope you will keep visiting my blog as usual. 

Well fashion weeks are over, no more fashion shows, no more Fall collections to look forward to. Before I draw new Fall collections  from some of my favorite designers, I thought I would like to draw some very important icons in the fashion industry.

Two of my dearest friends are going to Paris tomorrow for a few days. And they are real lucky because the Paris Fashion Week just started.Wouldn't it be crazy if they might meet one these important ladies in fashion. I hope they will keep me posted.

There's only one problem with the jackets on the Burberry Prorsum runway for Fall. Which one to choose???? Every single one of these giant-collared shearlings, in all their variations of volume, shape & shagginess are utterly desirable!!!

Clog Alert!!!

Chanel Clogs. Clogs are everywhere!!!! What is a clog, truly? I'm still saying that a wooden heel with studs, no matter the shoe, still smells a little like a farm. And the worst is that I've started to like them just a little!!!
